Chapters are encouraged to promote civic education through:

Chapters are both encouraged and required to organize local campus and/or community voter registration drives in accordance with state and local laws.

There is no standard fee to establish a PeopleVote Campus Chapter.

If any event-related costs or administrative fees apply, they will be disclosed and discussed in advance, no later than 30 days prior to the scheduled event.

Each chapter is asked to host at least one community engagement event featuring local and, where applicable, statewide candidates. Invitations must be extended fairly to qualified candidates representing different political affiliations in the relevant race.

In the months leading up to a local election, chapters are required to organize a minimum of two civic engagement events per month, when feasible and appropriate to the election cycle.

All events must remain nonpartisan and structured around equal opportunity participation.

Voters attending chapter events should be informed about the PeopleVote platform and encouraged to create a PeopleVote account and join the community to continue informed civic engagement.

Compliance & Legal Standards

All Campus Chapter activities must comply with:

• Federal, state, and local election laws
• Voter registration regulations
• School or university policies
• Applicable nonprofit and campaign compliance requirements
